Our Patron

Dear Members

It continues to be such a privilege for me to be part of the Army Widows’ Association with its constant aspiration at the heart of all the Association stands for: namely to provide the very best support, advice and opportunities to socialise for each and every one of our Army Widows.

Please never think I underestimate those particular circumstances by which you became Members of this Association…or indeed the struggle and heartbreak that has brought each of you to where you are today.  I am just thankful that the Army Widows’ Association is there to walk beside you when you most need it, and if there is more we could be doing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any one of us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the previous officers of the organisation for all they have done for the Army Widows’ Association, and to welcome the new ones.  I know that the Army Widows’ Association will not only flourish under their leadership, but move forward with the vision, energy and commitment you all so rightly deserve.

With my very best wishes.

Philippa Dannatt
